Wind

Wind is a very powerful force which can be either destructive or beneficial. When I was thinking about this challenge I recalled an amazing tree that we had seen in Western Australia. It was still growing,at an almost impossible angle,surviving against all the odds. I dug out the photo we had taken and created this image.

Rain

'Rain'was the first in our series of four letter words.
I envisaged the chaos that rain can cause. Storms,floods, rivers breaking their banks, debris,crops ruined, cyclones and tsunamis.
I called this "What if the rain doesn't stop"
Now of course, we would like rain!

Gympie Fibre Arts Group was started in 2009 to provide a forum for discussion of fibre arts and a meeting place for like minded people seeking to further their own creativity in a non-judgemental atmosphere. The group meets once a month .
. The premise was to produce a piece of "fibre art" , working with a particular "four lettered word", chosen at random. So far we have had five challenges: 'rain'; 'wind'; 'mess'; 'fire' and 'S'umaa's challenge.
